Spider-SEO Privacy Policy
Last Updated: Sep 27, 2026
1. Introduction
Spider-SEO ("Spider-SEO," "we," "us," or "our") is a digital marketing company that designs, builds, and manages websites and online marketing campaigns for service-based businesses (such as contractors, home service providers, healthcare practices, legal and professional service firms, and similar local businesses).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website, use our services, or interact with a website we have built or manage on behalf of one of our clients. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in a few different ways, depending on how you interact with us:
Information you provide directly. When you contact us, request a quote, fill out a contact or lead-capture form, or sign up for our services, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, business name, mailing address, billing information, and details about your project or service needs.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website (or a website we host or manage for a client), we and our service providers may automatically collect certain information, including your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring URLs, and the dates and times of your visits.
Information from client websites. For service businesses we build websites for, we may collect information submitted by visitors of those websites through contact forms, quote requests, appointment booking tools, chat widgets, or click-to-call tracking, on behalf of our client. See Section 6 ("Client Website Data") for more detail on how this information is handled.
Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from analytics providers, advertising platforms, and marketing tools we use to run and measure campaigns (see Section 5).
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve our website design, SEO, and marketing services
- Respond to inquiries, quote requests, and support questions
- Build, host, and maintain websites on behalf of our clients
- Deliver and measure the performance of marketing campaigns, including SEO, paid ads, and lead-generation efforts
- Send administrative communications, such as invoices, service updates, and policy changes
- Send marketing communications about our services, where permitted, which you may opt out of at any time
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, or technical problems
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our clients' websites use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to recognize your browser, remember preferences, analyze traffic, and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. These may include:
- Analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use a website
- Advertising and retargeting pixels (e.g., Google Ads, Meta/Facebook Pixel) to measure ad performance and show relevant ads
- Call-tracking scripts that assign tracking phone numbers to measure which marketing channels generate calls
- Functional cookies that remember form entries or site preferences
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may limit some features of a website.
5. Third-Party Services and Tools
We rely on trusted third-party providers to deliver our services, including web hosting providers, content management platforms, form and lead-capture tools, email marketing platforms, analytics providers, advertising networks, and call-tracking services. These providers may collect or process information on our behalf, subject to their own privacy policies and our agreements with them.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share information with service providers strictly to operate our business and deliver services to our clients.
6. Client Website Data
Spider-SEO builds and manages websites on behalf of service-based business clients. When you submit information through one of these websites (for example, a quote request, appointment booking, or contact form), that information is collected on behalf of, and for the benefit of, our client — the service business you are contacting.
In this arrangement, our client is generally the data controller and Spider-SEO acts as a service provider or data processor, handling the technical infrastructure (hosting, forms, analytics, and tracking) that supports the client's website. Any request to access, correct, or delete personal information submitted through a client's website should generally be directed to that business; we will assist our clients in fulfilling such requests where required by law.
7. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We may share information with:
- Our clients, when the information relates to their website or campaign (e.g., leads submitted through their site)
- Service providers and vendors, such as hosting companies, analytics platforms, ad networks, and email providers, who process data on our behalf
- Legal and regulatory authorities, when required to comply with the law, respond to legal process, or protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others
- A successor entity, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets
We do not share personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes without your consent.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. These may include secure hosting environments, encrypted connections (SSL/TLS), access controls, and regular software updates.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, and comply with our legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Lead and form-submission data collected on behalf of clients is generally retained for as long as our service agreement with that client remains active, unless the client instructs us to delete it sooner or law requires a different retention period.
10. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or contacting us directly
- Opt out of certain cookie-based tracking through your browser settings
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 13. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
11. Children's Privacy
Our website and services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
